KICS v Eco F

KICS will play against Eco F at Cercle Sportif on Saturday.

Players are expected to meet at KICS at 9am in their kit and the match will kick-off at 10 am.

The previous two games have been really tight with both going down to the wire. It has been a hard week at school with a lot going on but training went well today and spirits are high in anticipation of getting our first win.

I found this verse particularly encouraging this week from James 1:2-4...

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

I have been wondering why it is that the Lord doesn't simply grant us a win especially when it is so close. I know it is not about winning but I have found myself wondering why things have just not tilted our way. Then this verse came to mind.

The Lord is always working and so as we struggle together and face these trials, we should rejoice because God is doing something so much better in each of us than winning a football match. He is producing perseverance and a never-give-up mentality which in turn rounds off our faith and matures and completes us.

Praise you Lord for not allowing us to win because faith is so much more valuable than this particularly a robust, mature faith that will weather the trials of life that we are all still to face. Lord we pray that you continue to help us persevere even if we lose all the way to May, and rejoice because in this you are maturing our faith in you.

Keep punching!
